When a new school is built, Robert Lyons believes you have the
opportunity to make it the most efficient operation possible by using
state-of-the-art equipment and supplies, from the actual building
materials to the boilers. It should not be a surprise then that Lyons,
business manager for the Sandwich (MA) Public School District, is always
looking for ways to conserve money for the district's future.
Lyons found a way at Oak Ridge Elementary School, one of four schools
'n the district. The discovery occurred after he went in search of ways to
get more economical use out of the hot water heater and boiler systems at
the school.
